Iconic war photos to be on display at OCC

An Opening Reception will be held Wednesday, November 16, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Atrium of Whitney Applied Technology Center, Onondaga Community College, 4585 West Seneca Turnpike, Syracuse, NY 13215, for “Picturing Nam: U.S. Military Photographs of the Vietnam War.”

This is a traveling exhibit from the National Archives. It features pictures taken by photojournalists and military photographers, providing citizens with an intimate and uncensored view of the war in Vietnam. The exhibit will be part of the CNY Veterans Parade & Expo Saturday, November 12 at the New York State Fairgrounds. Following that event the display will be moved to OCC where it will be available for public viewing from November 16 to January 7 from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. each day. The exhibit is open to the public and there is no admission charge.

This exhibition was created by the National Archives and Records Administration, Washington DC and is traveled by the National Archives Traveling Exhibits Service.
