STAC recognized as a top-tier university

St. Thomas Aquinas College was named a Top-Tier Regional University (North) this month by U.S. News & World Report in their 2018 Best Colleges annual report, announced College president Dr. Margaret M. Fitzpatrick, S.C.

“The entire St. Thomas Aquinas College community is proud to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report in the Regional University (North) category for the fifth consecutive year,” said Fitzpatrick. “We have been ranked highly by multiple external reporting agencies over the years. We have always considered our students, faculty and alumni to be Top-Tier and this is a tribute to the entire College Community.”

The rankings include about 1,500 schools nationwide and are based on survey information collected and by peer ratings conducted by U.S. News & World Report. U.S. News gathers data from and about each school in up to 15 areas related to academic excellence. Each indicator is assigned a weight (expressed as a percentage) based on U.S. News’ judgments about which measures of quality matter most, with an emphasis on outcomes.
