Over 125 marketing students from Nassau Community College enjoyed a unique learning experience on September 19.
Lifetime Fitness of Garden City invited Prof. Jack Mandel of the school’s marketing department and his students to tour the facility, interact with staff members and attend an informative talk in the Lifetime University learning center on the third floor.
Based in Minnesota, the national chain caters to families and offers a wide variety of programs for all age groups.
General Manager Doug Newhook (pictured to the right of Prof. Mandel) presented a highly motivating talk about branding; not just of a corporate entity but of an individual.
According to Prof. Mandel, “Field trips offer students an opportunity of experience, unlike textbook theory.” It was an exciting day for all, he added.
