The Digital Arts Experience and Westchester Community College’s Peekskill and White Plains Extension Centers are proud to partner to bring Westchester County a Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) Fair on November 4. This event will feature technologies such as computer programming, 3D animation, 3D printing, digital painting and drawing, 3D printing, photography, ceramics and jewelry design. Industrial designers will be demonstrating cutting-edge skills and offering free hands-on workshops from 1:00 pm to 4:00 at the White Plains Extension Center of Westchester Community College in the County Center, right off the Bronx River parkway at 198 Central Avenue, White Plains.
There will be a Mindcraft event in the Digital Arts Experience truck out in front of the arts center and activities for both youth and adults. S.T.E.A.M. is a way to capture a student’s attention and focus while delivering hard skills that will serve them well in the 21st Century. The co-disciplinary delivery enables students to apply multimodal thinking to solve problems.
The Digital Arts Experience is a learning center focused on bringing the latest digital arts tools and technologies to life in a hands-on, project-focused way. The DAE hosts summer day camps, after-school drop-ins and Saturday programs for kids and teens in coding, 3D printing, graphic design, audio, video & VFX production, game design, comic book design, web development, app development and much more. They also offer popular adult courses in DSLR Photography, WordPress web design, etc.
