The Columbia-Greene Community Foundation will hold its 12th annual silent and live auction on Saturday, Nov. 3, in the Professional Academic Center at Columbia-Greene Community College. Pictured is a scene from last year’s event.
The silent auction will be held at 4:30 p.m., followed by a live auction at 6 p.m. More than 100 items will be auctioned off, items include art work by local artists, golf related gifts, cosmetics, jewelry, gift certificates, restaurant gift certificates, holiday items, baskets of cheer, candy, tools and so much more.
Hors d’oeuvres will be provided by Chartwells Catering, and signature cocktails, wine, and other beverages will also be served. Sponsors of the event include French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Leggett Electric Inc., Marshall and Sterling Insurance, and Sickler, Torchia, Allen & Churchill, CPAs PC.
All proceeds raised will help provide funds for Collegiate Programs and scholarships to C-GCC. Admission is $10, which includes an auction paddle. For more information, call C-GCF Executive Director Joan Koweek at (518) 828-4181, extension 3727.
A campus of the State University of New York, C-GCC is a comprehensive two-year college offering a variety of transfer and career programs leading to the degrees of Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Applied Science, and Associate in Occupational Studies, as well as one-year certificate programs and specialized courses geared toward community interest. C-GCC was recently ranked 24th out of 715 community colleges in the U.S., and second in the state, for cost and financing, education outcomes, and career outcomes.
