The session will feature an overview of the program, including its most recent transfer acceptance statistics. Students considering RCC’s Early Admit program combined with Honors will also receive valuable information pertaining to that academic path.
The Honors Program offers students the challenges and rewards of deeper discourse and a personalized mentoring relationship with professors. Honors students are paired with experienced faculty mentors chosen according to the student’s individual interests and talents. Mentors help guide students’ progress and assist them in both choosing a field of concentration and transferring to a four-year college or university that offers the fullest range of opportunity in their chosen field.
Students who complete the Honors Program with an excellent academic average, combined with strong extracurriculars and test scores, are competitive applicants at Ivy League and Tier One universities. An established network of RCC alumni at many of these institutions assists current students as they research and apply to transfer.
Enrolling in the Honors Program enables students to save as much as $100,000 on the cost of their bachelor’s degree without sacrificing the quality of their education. More than 3,000 students have graduated from the program since its founding in 1977.
