The annual AJC Westchester County/Fairfield County Thanksgiving Diversity Breakfast (Inner Strength, Bold Action) will be held at Westchester Community College from 7:30 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21. The event in the college’s gymnasium on the Valhalla campus (75 Grasslands Road) is co-sponsored by AJC and Westchester Community College. Westchester Community College President Belinda S. Miles (pictured) will greet the attendees.
Nearly 400 attendees are expected at the breakfast honoring three members of the community who harness their individuality to embrace their local neighbors:
- Imam Mohamed Shaffieq Chace, Islamic Center of New Rochelle
- Rickard Leroy, Temple Shaaray Tefila
- Mecca Santana, Westchester Medical Center Health Network
AJC Westchester/Fairfield connects the local community with AJC’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. Their access to diplomats, elected officials, and interfaith leaders at the local level advances AJC’s broader global priorities: combating anti-Semitism, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and countering the spread of radicalism and extremism.
Along with a Kosher cold buffet breakfast (bagels, muffins, fruit, yogurt, granola, spreads), there will also be a 25 minute video presentation. For more information, please contact AJC at 914-948-5585.
