Comedian and rock band to perform at MVCC

The Mohawk Valley Community College Cultural Series has announced the headlining acts for the Spring semester. Tickets to these and all events in the series will be on sale at 10 a.m. Jan. 20, 2020.

Comedian Sal Vulcano, star of truTV’s “Impractical Jokers” will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 24, in the Jorgensen Athletic and Event Center Field House at the College’s Utica Campus. Advance tickets are $25 general and $20 for MVCC employees, and day-of-show tickets are $30 general and $25 for MVCC employees. Vulcano, a native of Staten Island, has been in comedy for years, and is best known for starring in truTV’s “Impractical Jokers.” In addition to performing as part of The Tenderloins Comedy Troupe to sold-out crowds, he’s been featured on Comedy Central’s “This Is Not Happening,” and TBS’s “The Misery Index.” He also hosts a podcast with Brian Quinn titled “What Say You?” To learn more about him, visit salvulcanocomedy.com.
Southern California ’90s power punk band Lit will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, March 20, in Schafer Theater, Wilcox Hall, at the College’s Utica Campus. Tickets are $15 general and $10 for MVCC employees. Lit is considered one of the preeminent bands to have come out of the post-grunge era of the late ’90s and helped define a generation of SoCal power punk with hard-charging hits like “My Own Worst Enemy,” “Miserable,” “Zip-Lock,” and “Lipstick & Bruises.” The band has released six studio albums worldwide, including their RIAA certified platinum “A Place in the Sun,” and they are currently writing and recording new material.
