Berkshire Community College (BCC) presents two sessions of “Made of Success: Orientation and Goal Setting Workshop” on Tuesday, February 8 at 11 am and Wednesday, February 16 at 11 am. Students attending either 90-minute session will receive forum credit. The free sessions, presented on Zoom, are open to the public. BCC instructors are Alexa Icenia, Academic Counselor – MADE Center, and Rolaine James, Disability Resources Academic Success Coach.
Icenia and James will present an engaging introduction to the SUCCESS (Supporting Urgent Community College Equity through Student Services) Program and the MADE (Multicultural Affairs, Diversity, and Engagement) Center. Participants will learn how to critically think about values, prioritize time, manage expectations, promote wellness, set boundaries and plan fun activities and goals centered around the work-life-academia balance.
Funded by a SUCCESS grant, the MADE Center offers academic and social support services for all students, but with a special focus on supporting traditionally underserved populations. Academic coaching and advising is available as needed, with dedicated staff readily available.
To register for either session, visit www.berkshirecc.edu/student-engagement/academic-success and scroll to Upcoming Workshops.
