RCC talk: ‘The 30 Most Powerful Words in the English Language’

The Rockland Community College Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will be hosting a free book talk at 3 pm on Thursday, February 11 with Dr. Roger W. Davis, the author of The 30 Most Powerful Words in the English Language and President of the Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) in Monaca, Pennsylvania. To register for the event, visit: http://bit.ly/rccdavis.

“We are delighted to welcome a former RCC colleague and inspiring academic leader back to the College,” says Michael Baston, President of Rockland Community College. “His message is so important right now and we are pleased to invite the entire community to join us for this free Zoom presentation.”

The event will help attendees to identify their personal “word of power” along with strategies they can use to bring any project they are working on from creation to completion. Dr. Davis will also discuss the concepts, ideas and paradigms which yield personal and professional progress.

Dr. Davis is the first African-American to serve as president at CCBC. Prior to joining CCBC, he was the Associate Vice President of Instruction and Academic Services at RCC. He is often called upon to speak at regional and national conferences and at professional development programs. He earned his doctoral degree in Urban Educational Leadership from Morgan State University, a Master of Science degree in Adult Education with Honors from Coppin State College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
