Fashion show at SUNY Ulster

SUNY Ulster will hold its Spring Fashion Exhibition on Friday, May 10, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the College Lounge, Vanderlyn Hall on the Stone Ridge campus. The exhibition will feature a variety of clothing pieces designed and created by graduating students in the SUNY Ulster Fashion Design program.

The 2019 Spring Fashion Exhibition is the final presentation of second year Fashion Design students. Student portfolios with illustrations and computer aided design work will be on display. The exhibition will also include finished garments on live models and mannequins showcasing students’ construction and design skills. Hors d’oeuvres and mocktails will be served, and a live jazz group will perform at the event.

The SUNY Ulster Fashion Design program educates students in all aspects of the design process as they work towards articulating their designs verbally, visually, and digitally. Students build a portfolio of work and gain professionally-oriented training that will help advance their transfer to a four-year school or job search. Graduates have transferred to a variety of prominent fashion schools, including the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Marist College.
