Preparing for the first day of classes at Rockland Community College

Fall classes at Rockland Community College will begin on Tuesday, September 1st. There are a variety of special events planned over the coming weeks to make it easier for students to enroll either in-person or online. In addition, there are a variety of ways that students can learn about the numerous on-campus resources and services available to help them make the most of their college experience.

In-Person Rapid Registration: Students can register to visit the campus in-person from August 17 through 20; 11 am – 5 pm and August 24 through 27; 11 am – 5 pm to learn more about academic advising, financial aid, register for courses, and more. Safety protocols* will be followed; learn more and schedule an appointment at www.sunyrockland.edu/rapid.

Group Advising: New and continuing students can be advised virtually during group sessions that are offered by the Academic Schools from Monday, August 17 through Friday, September 4 and Tuesday, September 8. The five schools include: School of Arts & Humanities, School of Business & Professional Studies, School of Education & Social Sciences, School of Nursing, Health & Wellness, and the School of Science, Technology, Engineering & Math. The Inside Scoop: Conversations with Dr. Brewer: Join Dr. Helen Brewer, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, for a series of virtual conversations designed to give applicants and returning students information about life on campus. Students, faculty and staff will have the opportunity to ask questions via a Q&A Chat. Family members are welcome to join. Visit www.sunyrockland.edu/insidescoop for dates and times.

Virtual Weekend Hours: Students Services offices will be open virtually on Saturdays in August from 10 am – 2 pm. For details, visit www.sunyrockland.edu/enrollmentinfo.

Admissions & Departmental Virtual Information Sessions: Students can experience the beauty of the RCC campus, learn about programs of study, meet faculty, and staff and speak with current students about life on campus, all from their computer. Learn why RCC has become the “first choice” for today’s parents and students. See the upcoming info session schedule.

*Safety Protocols: All students must wear a mask on campus and proper social distancing is required. Only one guest per student is allowed and everyone is required to complete a COVID-19 Screening Form upon arrival. Any student experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms or who has recently returned from a restricted state currently listed on NY State’s Department of Health Travel Advisory in the last two weeks should reschedule.
