The Mohawk Valley Community College Cultural Series will host virtual events during March.
There will be a “Psychic Fair with Virtual Tarot Card Readers” from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 25. Sign up in advance to have your tarot cards read live on Zoom at your one-on-one virtual appointment. The cost is $5 general, $2 for MVCC employees, and free for MVCC students. The American Red Cross will host an online session of the Citizens Preparedness Corps training program from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, live on Facebook via the MVCC Cultural Series page (www.facebook.com/MVCCCulturalSeries). The training gives a comprehensive overview on how to prepare for natural and man-made disasters and how to respond to and recover from them. Participants will learn how to create a household emergency plan, prepare customized emergency kits, be aware and stay informed of the different hazards of their community, and help the community recover after an emergency.
